Fresh from filling the dance floors of North America, the trio of Gallic dance-pop purveyors that make up the band YELLE are coming eastwards and hitting Hong Kong as part of their Asia tour.
The band named after and fronted by Yelle, née Julie Budet, she of the sweet schoolgirl voice, along with partners in crime GrandMarnier (Jean-François Perrier) and Tepr, hit you with some of the finest electro beats, disco-inspired loops and inescapable hooks.
Bringing forth their new albulm "Safari Disco Club," Yelle have gone right for the musical-jugular flitting between haunting electronica ("The Sun Goes Out"), Caribbean-inspired New Wave synth ("My Country") and "Unillusion" that fuses Chicago house with a soupçon of techno kick.
